OWNER BUILDER HOME INDEMNITY
Owner Builders Home Indemnity Insurance applies to owner builders who wish to sell within 7 years of their licence being issued.
This applies to New Dwellings, extensions or renovations with a Contract Value of $20,000 or more.
The insurance policy starts from settlement of the property and continues for the remainder of the 7 year period.
In order to obtain you Home Indemnity Policy you will need to provide us with the following information:
- Completed application form (all sections to be completed & signed by all home owners.) [Download Application Form]
- Property inspection report – Original report only

- Copy of Building Plans
- Copy of Drivers Licence
- Copy of Offer & Acceptance document
- Copy of the original building licence
- Copy of Minister Letter approving sale if selling within 3 years from issuing date of licence.
- Current Land rates notice
- Current Certificate of Title
- Electricians “Notice of Completion” or confirmation work completed to Australian Standards
- Plumbers “Notice of Completion” or confirmation work completed to Australian Standards
- Termite treatments/Current Termite inspection report
To arrange this cover we need a minimum of three days notice prior to settlement.
(Note: cover can only be obtained once we are in possession of all of the documentation listed above)
